Here's what I realized...
I am wishing my life away.
I constantly have a countdown going on whether I admit it to myself or not. Currently I'm counting down to the last day of school (29 school days, 42 calendar days), our anniversary (51) and the vacation. And those are only the dates I'm actually physically COUNTING to. That doesn't count the countdown to starting a family or to buying a house. When my birthday starts to get close, as in 3 months or less, I start counting down then as well. I am wishing my life away.
So what can I do about this? I'm really not sure. I've tried to NOT count but it's still in the back of my mind.
:sigh:
On an unrelated note, the sun is shining today and I am very excited to go home this weekend. The boys have a trap shoot at Halstead, which means we can go to breakfast in New Milford on the way. That is if I can convince dad to wait for us and Ian to get up early enough. He seems to feel the same way I do about getting up early. I'd rather skip breakfast than get up 10 minutes earlier.
Brian and I have started the full plate diet (http://www.fullplatediet.com/ ) and it's not going too bad. The goal is to have 40 grams of fiber in a day, we haven't quite gotten there on a consistent basis yet though. It's only quarter of 10 but I'm at 9 grams right now. I probably won't get to 40 today just because I'm having pasta for lunch. My recommendation if you're going to do a fiber full diet, AVOID FIBER ONE BARS AND KASHI UNTIL YOU ARE USED TO THE ELEVATED FIBER!! They will make you feel not so great if you rush it. (and then you'll be rushing to the restroom) Start with Arnold's Double Fiber bread and a whole lot of fruits and veggies. You need to get your system used to the fiber first before you overdo it.
As we near the end of the year, I've started counting the number of kids I'll be seeing again next year... it's depressing.
